Boulder-Area Camps for the First Week of Summer: May 29 – June 1

Summer break is just around the corner, so we’ve rounded up some of the first week of summer camps for you to check out.

  • Moana at Rocky Mountain Theater for Kids
    Ages 5 – 9
    May 30 – June 1
    You’re welcome! (Good luck getting that song out of your head!) In this tropical musical revue, campers will experience Moana’s adventure through singing and dancing to their favorite songs from the story.   • Adventure Camp with Avid4Adventure
    Ages 6 – 13
    May 30 – June 1
    Our Adventure Camp transports kids entering 2nd – 7th grades out to authentic local settings for thrilling, fulfilling outdoor experiences. Whether they’re returning or first-time campers, every day is a different adventure—mastering mountain biking, climbing a local crag, hiking a trail, paddling a canoe or kayak—and every challenge is calibrated to their age and ability.
  • Explorer Camp with Single Track Mountain Bike Adventures
    Ages 4 – 18
    May 29 – June 1
    Explorer Camp is perfect for riders who want to check out new singletrack, tackle longer rides and build on their mountain biking fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment. During Explorer Camp riders will gain the skills to progress to intermediate and then advanced trails with super awesome coaches.
  • Indoor Climbing at ABC Kids Climbing
    Ages 4 – 18
    May 29 – June 1
    ABC camps are designed for beginner and intermediate climbers. Campers will work on body awareness, footwork and route reading to develop efficiency and confidence in bouldering and rope climbing. More advanced climbers will work on a variety of advanced techniques catering to their ability
  • Mountain Kids Summer Day Camp
    Ages 4 – 18

    Mountains full of fun! Join us this summer as we rock out with School of Rock, Climb the walls at Evo Climbing Gym & ABC, tumble around in gymnastics, wall runs in Ninja, Kick’n it at Success Martial Arts, splash at every local pool and explore every kid intended nook’n cranny in Boulder County!
  • Nike Tennis Half Day Camp 
    Ages 7 – 18
    May 29 – June 1

  • Adventure Quest 
    Ages 6 – 17
    May 29 – June 1
    Since 1995, Renaissance Adventures has led summer Quests where the kids playact as the heroes of a dynamic and exciting adventure. Participants choose mythic archetypes and powers, band together as a team, solve riddles and dilemmas, and swashbuckle with foes. In small groups of about six children, everyone gets a chance to shine and be the hero of a mythic quest!
  • Full Day Summer Art Camp at Inspiration Art Academy

    May 29 – June 1
    Join us for one half-day or multiple weeks. We will be having creative fun all summer! Let’s have fun creating art! Art Campers will learn and practice many different art materials both 2-D and 3-D. We will explore our creativity using critical thinking, problem solving and have fun making art! Students will explore many different art centers: Drawing, painting, collage, textile, printmaking, mural and sculpture centers are all available.
  • Cave Dweller Days at Bixby
    Ages 4 – 12
    May 29 – June 1
    Step back in time and reconnect with the Earth and the elements as we learn primitive skills as shelter building, fire starting techniques, and making and using primitive tools.
  • Eco Explorers with Thorne Nature Experience
    Ages 5 – 6
    May 29 – June 1
    This “Camp Experience” is the perfect introduction for budding naturalists. Campers will become eco-explorers by tuning in to observations and using all five senses. It’s a great introduction to exploration using scientific tools like dip nets to collect water creatures and magnifying glasses to observe the miniature world of insects
  • Fairy Tale Fun One at Boulder’s Dinner Theatre Academy
    Ages 5 – 10
    May 30 – June 1
    BDT Academy has weekly drama camps in cooperation with the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department. Our technique of “playmaking” lets the children use their imagination to adapt a familiar story or write their own script… so the children’s plays are always ORIGINAL and UNIQUE! The week culminates in a free Friday afternoon performance for friends and family! Each week is different and fun so don’t miss it.
