Boulder-Area Camps for the Third Week of Summer: June 11 – 15 2018

This summer, challenge your kid to try something new like running an “Amazing Race” at CU, or trying their hand at coding. The list of ideas is always available on Campanzier! Here are some camp offerings for the third week of summer that you might want to check out:

  • Little Puffs Sailing Camp at the Boulder Reservoir 
    Ages 5 – 7
    June 12 – 15
    Little Puffs Sailing Camps are designed for our youngest participants, ages 5-7 years old. These camps introduce students to water safety, sailing and boating while instilling new levels of confidence in a boat and on the water.
  • All Sports Camp at Boulder Country Day
    Ages 4 – 8
    June 11 – 15
    Our Summer All Sports Camp at BCD will give children the chance to be active and to learn how to play a variety of sports, games, and activities. Additionally, we will discuss teamwork and personal responsibility all while exercising and having a great time!
  • Digging Dinos at the Longmont Museum
    Ages 4 – 8
    June 11 – 15
    Do you have a dinosaur lover in your family? Then this is the camp for them! We’ll be digging for fossils, crafting pre-historic creatures, playing games, and generally having a DINOTASTIC WEEK! This camp is a mixture of science, fun, learning, and art!
  • Amazing Race: CU Edition with CU Science Discovery
    Ages 9 – 11
    June 11 – 15
    Explore the CU Boulder campus and the exciting world of STEM research in this Amazing Race style camp! We’ll navigate our way to Fiske Planetarium to learn about the solar system, the Biomechanics Lab to learn about integrative physiology, the CU Museum for a behind-the-scenes tour, the Integrated Teaching and Learning Laboratory and more. Each day, we’ll work in teams to complete a series of hands-on/minds-on challenges in order to arrive at a special CU Boulder destination.
  • Mountain Kids Summer Day Camp
    Ages 5 – 12
    June 11 – 15
    Mountains full of fun! Join us this summer as we rock out with School of Rock, Climb the walls at Evo Climbing Gym & ABC, tumble around in gymnastics, wall runs in Ninja, Kick’n it at Success Martial Arts, splash at every local pool and explore every kid intended nook’n cranny in Boulder County! Free Before and After Care doesn’t hurt either! Children may come as early as 7:30 am and stay as late as 5:45 pm for no additional charge.
  • Fairy Garden Journals and Paintings 
    Ages 6 – 12
    June 11 – 14
    During this week, we will imagine and draw tiny creatures like fairies, elves, gnomes and insects inhabiting garden and forest worlds. Rachel will arrange her collection of miniature “fairy” furniture and lanterns in her backyard garden for drawing and painting inspiration. We will begin sketching in our journals outdoors, choosing favorite sketches to inspire a larger painting using colorful Swiss watercolor pastels and watercolor paint.
  • Dungeons and Dragons Camp at Mackintosh Academy
    Ages 10 – 15
    June 11 – 15
    In this week long Role Playing intensive camp the students will spend the morning playing focused D&D style games that allows them to express their creative abilities through problem solving and the use of player character traits to overcome obstacles that require more thought than brute force.
  • Coding with Kids Little Coders at Boulder Country Day
    Ages 5 – 7
    June 11 – 15
    Created specifically for kids 5-7, this camp develops computational thinking skills and fosters creativity in a fun environment! We use a blend of connected and “unplugged” activities designed to keep young campers engaged. Kids will create their own interactive story or computer game!
