What is your favorite thing about your work?
Being around adults and challenging my mind in different ways than being around my kids.
What is your least favorite thing about your work?
Being away from my kids and being tired at the end of the day.
Imagine you have some free time… what do you like to do?
I like running/mountain biking and reading.
What are your favorite stores/restaurants/places in the Boulder-area?
Love Brasserie Ten Ten and the Cork Happy Hour. During summer, we love taking the kids to Broomfield Bay to swim.
What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?
I love the show Younger. I need a new book!
What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
Skydiving. I don’t need to do that again.
Do you have any advice for other moms and/or working moms?
Try to find a good work/life balance, especially moms who have their own businesses, whom I think tend to work longer hours because it’s kind of another baby for them. But, in the end, work is work, so make time for your kids and significant other if you have one. In the end, they are the most important.
What is important for you to teach your kids?
Kindness and compassion for all types of people. I want my kids to be friends with the kids who need friends.
What have your kids taught you?
Patience and a greater love than I thought was possible.
