How do robots work? How do you build and program them?
At Build-A-Robot, your kids can learn the answer to these questions and more about robots design, assembly and coding. Located in Superior, Build-A-Robot has a variety of summer camps along with weekend and after-school programs for kids ages 6 – 14, including:
- Introduction to AI Robotics – In this camp we will learn how to use artificial intelligence in programming Cozmo robots. We will use block-based coding and Python to program the Cozmo robot, giving campers hands on projects that use Cozmo’s built-in AI.
- Storytelling with Robots and Coding – We’ll build robot characters to act out the stories and use Scratch and ScratchJr to create animations. We’ll design and make pop up interactive books. We’ll have lots of craft materials to ignite their imaginations and use tech to bring the stories to life.
- Game Design with Robots and Coding – We are going to explore some of our favorite board games and playground games and create new versions using robots and coding. We’ll play the games, then talk about what makes them fun, and build robots that can play.
Here’s what one parent has to say…
“Both my girls participated in Build a Robot this Fall and loved their experiences. They learned so much in the class and the teachers were excellent. I loved that besides the hands-on learning, they also learned how to work with others and share ideas. Both girls were so proud that they were able to “build robots” and understand how they worked.“
