Denver School Day Off Camps 2019/2020

It almost seems as if just when you are settled into the school routine, here comes a day off! As stressful as it can be to figure out how to entertain your child on a random workday, no need to panic, because Campanizer is on your side. Here is a list of camps that specially cater to Denver Public Schools (DPS) school days off.

  • Denver Zoo – Safari Mini-Camps provide the perfect adventure for campers that have the drive and desire to discover an affection for animals. Camps feature animal experiences, zoo expeditions, engineering authentic solutions to real-world challenges, and hands-on, camper-driven exploration. [Ages 4 – 9 // $55]
  • Denver Museum of Nature and Science – At the Museum, your child will spend school breaks experiencing fun and wonder, IMAX films and Planetarium shows, and marvels of our exhibitions. Limited early morning drop-off and late pickup options available. [Ages 5 – 11 // $75]
  • The Wonder Co – Camps are not just for summers, but for no-school days, too! Join your favorite Wonder Co. instructors for an inspiring, creative, and engaging day of art lessons. Each day has a thoughtfully curated curriculum with a fun theme that encourages your child to explore and learn! [Ages 6 – 9 // $85]
  • Denver Tour Club – Enjoy fun outings around town on school days off! [Ages 5 – 12 // $95]
  • Denver Parks and Recreation – It offers a safe place for kids to have fun participating in games, sports, and arts & crafts. Please bring a lunch and wear closed-toe shoes! [Ages 5 – 12 // $67.50]
  • Richie Center – Looking for childcare options for school breaks and days off? Join us for a day of sports, fun, and friendship at School Days Off! Campers participate in a variety of sports activities in our Division I athletics facilities, including – rock climbing – ice skating – gymnastics – aquatics inflatable island & swimming and more. [Ages 5 – 11 // $60]
  • The Greenway Foundation Summer Camp – Join us at the park for a fun, nature-focused day off. [Ages 5 – 11 // $55]
  • Rocky Mountain Theatre Denver – Parents, enjoy peace of mind during your child’s day off from school! Kids, enjoy a full day of theatrical activities which may include classes in music, acting, dance, makeup, improvisation, scene work, and rehearsal. Camps end in a final presentation for family and friends. [Ages 5 – 10 // $75]
  • JCC Denver – DPS A day off of school just got a lot more fun. Join us for a day of fun, Camp Shai style. Together we’ll go on a field trip or participate in a special on-site program. In addition, we make art projects, play games, go swimming (make sure to pack a suit every day!) in the indoor pool. [Ages 5 – 12 // $75]
  • Art Garage – The Art Garage offers arts-based programs that inspire, empower and promote creative self- expression by people of all ages and backgrounds. On-site studio workshops and exhibitions engage the greater Denver community and outreach are provided to those who are under-served, at-risk and for people with disabilities to ensure the artistic process is fully accessible and inclusive for all.  [Ages 3 – 12 // $45]
  • The Craftsman & Apprentice – The C&A is a heritage-inspired craft workshop & retail space in Denver’s City Park West. We believe in community & craft. We’ve always loved making things with our hands & spending time with good people. [Ages 5-11 // $85]
  • Lighthouse Writers Workshop – Lighthouse Writers Workshop is the largest literary arts center in the Rocky Mountain West. For more than 20 years, we’ve provided quality instruction, community events, and artistic support for writers and readers of all levels, ages, and backgrounds. [Ages 8-14 // $75]
  • Uncorked Kitchen and Wine Bar – Why just share a meal, when you can share everything that goes into making one?. Experiencing all the laughter and little moments that happen before food even hits the plate. [Ages 11 – 17 // $420]
  • Engineering for Kids Denver – Bringing the fun of science, technology, engineering, and math education to kids, ages 4 to 14, through exciting camps, after-school activities, parties, classes, and more. Young engineers have the opportunity to design, build, test, and refine their own creations in a safe and fun environment. [Ages 9 – 12 // $450]
  • Ubergrippen Youth Indoor Climbing Crag – Offers beginner (first-time climber) through expert (5.13 Lead, Climbing V10 Bouldering) climbs. 11 Auto-Belays on a large variety of terrain (5.easy through 5.12). Over 25 weekly yoga/fitness classes offered. [Ages 7 – 13 // $85]
  • Noteablekids Arts Center – A wide variety of camps that are crazy good fun, highly engaging and hands-on. Taught by outstanding teachers who are professionals in each field, there’s something for every child. [Ages 4 – 10 // $125]
  • Abrakadoodle – Abrakadoodle is passionate about providing top quality art programs for kids whether it’s an Academic Art program, an art class for kids, an inventive summer art camp, an art party or an art day. [Ages 4 – 10 // $125]
  • Dumb Friends League – Working with our compassionate community, we will end pet homelessness and animal suffering. [Ages 7 – 11 // $55]
  • The Greenway Foundation – The Mission of the Greenway Foundation is to advance the South Platte River and the surrounding tributaries as a unique environmental, recreational, cultural, scientific and historical amenity that uniquely links our City’s past and its future. [Ages 6 – 11 // $55]
  • Coerver Colorado – Denver – The Coerver® Method has been acclaimed to be the World’s finest soccer skills teaching method. It is a complete soccer education program that basis its’ methodology on our “Pyramid of player development”. [Ages 8 – 16 // $195]
  • Renaissance Adventures – Denver – Since 1995, Renaissance Adventures has led summer Quests where the kids playact as the heroes of a dynamic and exciting adventure. Participants choose mythic archetypes and powers, band together as a team, solve riddles and dilemmas, and swashbuckle with foes.  [Ages 7 – 17// $160]
  • Bladium: Sports & Fitness Club – At Camp Bladium, campers have the opportunity to choose games and activities as part of our focus on their development. Kids experience a variety of games, activities, and guest entertainers like magicians and animal educators. [Ages 5 – 15 // $75]
  • Enshin Karate at Stanley Marketplace – Every day includes a wide variety of activities that focus on mindfulness, discipline, embodiment, and play. Your child will explore martial arts, yoga practice, West African drumming, breakdancing, capoeira, meditation, and even chess! [Ages 4 – 12 // $220 for 3 half-days]
  • Butterfly Pavilion – What would happen to a real-life Nemo? Could ants really build structures like in A Bug’s Life? Is everything we see in movies correct? Help unravel the mystery of what’s true and what is not true in some of our favorite invertebrate movies. [Ages 5 – 12 // $60]
  • Highlands Ranch Center at Northville – STEM Camps – Come expand your knowledge with the cariety of education classes that we offer. These classes will enrich your life and assist you in your life goals. Skydive down from a flying bus into a world of brick building! [Ages 5 – 12 // $150]
